Brad Pitt's split from Angelina Jolie may have helped strengthen his friendship with another ex, Jennifer Aniston. According to Us Weekly, the actor reached out to Jen to wish her a happy birthday in February and the two began texting. Brad "has confided in Jen," an insider tells the magazine. "Brad told her he's having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past." As for Jen's husband, Justin Theroux? "Justin is OK with them being friends," says the source, adding that Justin understands Jen "wants to be nice" given the current situation. Brad and Jen were married from 2000 until 2005.

Katie Holmes: Suri's 'upbringing is paramount to my work'
At the end of the day, Katie Holmes has one priority — and that's her 10-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise. In the new issue of Town & Country, the actress opens up about the impact her role as a parent has on her acting and directing, telling them magazine she's prepared for the emotional challenge that comes with watching a child grow up, though she's not necessarily looking forward to it. "This business is so unstable, and you never really know where you're going to be … My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now … It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed," she says (via People). Adding that she hopes to move towards directing full-time, Katie goes on to explain she knows it's going to be hard to watch Suri leave the nest someday. "Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That's a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it's heartbreaking," she says. "You want them to stay with you forever, but they're these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they're going to go. And that's going to be very, very sad for me."

Nearly a year after they left the Met Gala together, sparking romance rumors, Kate Hudson and Diplo fueled buzz they could be dating again when the two held hands at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty. According to an E! News source, however, the actress and DJ are just "hanging out," keeping things "casual and fun." After Kate visited Diplo last year during a trip to Ibiza with friends, his rep said the pair were not dating.

Rihanna wants to go back to college
Could Rihanna be college-bound? While accepting her Humanitarian of the Year at Harvard this week for her work building a cancer center and creating education opportunities for children in the Caribbean and beyond, the singer mentioned casually that she might go back to finish school. "You don't have to be rich to be a humanitarian. You don't have to be rich to help somebody," she said, according to the New York Post. "You don't gotta be famous. You don't even have to be college-educated. I mean, I wish I was … especially today." The Post reports the crowd collectively chuckled, but Rihanna as serious. "It's true, I might come back," she said. She also opened up about her early interest in humanitarian work. "When I was 5 or 6 years old, I remember watching TV and I would see these commercials and I was watching other children suffer in other parts of the world," she recalled. "You know? The commercials where you could give 25 cents and save a child's life. I would think to myself … I wonder how many 25 cents I could save up to save all of the kids in Africa and I would say to myself, 'When I grow up and get rich, I'm going to save kids all over the world.' I just didn't know I'd be in the position to do that when I was a teenager."
James Harden didn't like the attention around dating Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian and James Harden seem to see the relationship they shared for eight months differently. While Khloe has said her Houston Rockets star ex wanted to be monogamous — then wasn't — James tells Sports Illustrated he "didn't like all the attention" involved with dating Khloe. "I feel like it was for no reason," he said, according to Us Weekly. "I wasn't getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don't need that. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it wasn't me. I don't need pictures of myself when I'm driving my car. Who cares? What shoes am I wearing? Who cares? Where am I eating? Who cares? It was unnecessary stuff that I think trickled down to my teammates. I had to eliminate that." Khloe, meanwhile, told viewers on her talk show she'd always told James they didn't need to be monogamous since they live in different cities. "'Let's just see each other when we see each other,'" she said, recalling the deal she was initially after. "Why wouldn't you say, 'OK, that's great?'" she asked. "He sought me out, wanted to be committed, then wasn't committed. [I] found out he wasn't, and I got the receipts to prove it."
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas' kids want to become actors
In the course of recalling the conversations she had with Kirk Douglas about Bette Davis and Joan Crawford for "Feud," Catherine Zeta-Jones told Jimmy Kimmel her own kids want to forge careers in Hollywood. Unlike some actors whose children want to follow in their footsteps, Catherine said she's OK with it, even though Dylan, 16, and Carys, 13, have some big time shoes to fill when it comes to the successes of their parents, Catherine and Michael Douglas, and grandfather, Kirk. "You know, I know it's going to be hard for them, because they've got their grandfather, Kirk, they've got me, they have Michael, but they so inherently love it and they're good!" she said, according to E! News. "They go to summer camp every year—they do like three musicals and straight plays—and they love it. I've had a wonderful life in this business, so if they want to do it, they know the hardships and the percentages of who makes it and who doesn't, so I just think that they've got the talent and I know that they have the drive."

The stress of Kanye West's Yeezy 5 Fashion Week show in New York may have made Kim Kardashian West nervous but it didn't cause Kanye to overdo it on prescription medication, despite a recent report from OK! that claims the rapper and designer may be "headed for rehab." Kanye's rep tells GossipCop there's no truth to the story, which asserts Kanye was so doped up on medication he was "unsteady on his feet" and acting "like a zombie." The show ultimately got better reviews than last year's — and Kanye showed no signs of breaking down again as he did last fall.

The New York Post reports Mick Jagger raced from a Chanel dinner to Harvey Weinstein's pre-Oscars party at Montage Beverly Hills in order to catch up with Bey and her husband, Jay Z. A spy also told the tab Beyonce was overheard chatting with guests about the fact that she'll find out the gender of the twins she's expecting in two weeks.
Oprah Winfrey contemplates the possibility of running for president
Oprah for president? Maybe. Speaking to David Rubenstein this week, Oprah Winfrey admitted that given the current situation in the White House, some of the concerns that once kept her from considering a bid for the presidency now seem less important. "I just thought, 'Oh, gee, I don't have the experience, I don't know enough, I don't know.' And now I'm thinking … Oh!" she said, according to E! News. The talk show host and media mogul also opened up about what made "Oprah" such a success. "My skill comes not from my interviewing ability, my skill comes from my listening ability and my skill comes from me knowing fundamentally inside myself that I am no different than the audience," she said. "So what gave me the power in the seat and the power with the microphone was I always saw myself as the surrogate for the audience."
