Jinger Duggar is engaged! The “19 Kids and Counting” star is set to wed former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.
Though they've known each other for more than a year, the couple only began officially courting each other last month. The relationship will be showcased on the upcoming season of “Counting On,” which will air in August. Vuolo, who played for the New York Red Bulls and San Antonio Scorpions, bonded with Duggar over their shared interests in mission trips and ministry.
There’s also a family connection, as they were introduced by Duggar’s sister Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald. The spouses-to-be now tell People, “So excited to share this news that we are now engaged. From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship. We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together.”
“We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together,” they add. “It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days.” Duggar will be the fourth of the 19 kids in her family to get married, following siblings Jessa, Jill, and Josh.
