90210's Gillian Zinser Not Returning for Season 5
Like Dustin Milligan and Trevor Donovan before her, Gillian Zinser is leaving America's most famous zip code.
Though she joined the cast of 90210 in 2009, Zinser, 26, will not be returning for The CW series' fifth season this fall, according to TV Line. A rep for the network tells TV Line that Zinser will return as a guest star, though it's unclear for how many episodes.
In the fourth season finale, Zinser's Ivy Sullivan was seen running away to Mexico with her soon-to-be deported boyfriend, Diego Flores (Yani Gellman, 26). In earlier episodes, Ivy's husband, Raj Kher (Manish Dayal, 28), lost his battle with cancer; they were married at the end of Season 3.
Zinser was first cast in recurring role during Season 2; she was promoted to series regular the following year.
The May 15 season finale also marked the return of Donovan's Teddy Montgomery, who will contemplate having a child with his best friend, Erin Silver (Jessica Stroup, 25), in future episodes. The actor, 33, has made several guest appearances since leaving the show at the end of its third season.
New episodes of 90210 will air Mondays this fall at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
