TV star Johnny Lewis was found dead in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles on Wednesday and has been named as a suspect in the murder of his 81-year-old landlady, Catherine Davis, the Los Angeles Police Department tells Us Weekly.
The 28-year-old actor, who appeared on Sons of Anarchy, The OC and other shows -- and who dated Katy Perry during 2005-2006 -- was discovered in a driveway on Wednesday morning after falling or jumping from the roof following a fight with Davis and two other indviduals. According to the Associated Press, authorities believe Davis was beaten to death.
Earlier that morning, polic had been called after Lewis got into a vicious argument with Davis and two other people on the property --a handyman and a neighbor, who both sustained serious injuries after the incident.
"Apparently Johnny Lewis appears to be the murder suspect of Davis," LAPD tells Us. "Detectives say Davis was apparently murdered in her Los Feliz home. Police received a call from a screaming woman at that location and that is all we have. Investigation is ongoing. Appears Lewis also fell from a roof and died in the driveway."
"This is so sad," a source close to Lewis tells Us Weekly, adding that Lewis was "spiraling out of control" for several years.
