Adele Gives Finger at BRITs, Show Apologizes

Adele received two Brit Awards and sung a marvelous rendition of "Rolling in the Deep" at the awards show on Tuesday; however, all that was overshadowed by an obscene gesture that the best-selling artist made after her acceptance speech.

After the acceptance speech for her second award of the night for Best Female Artist was cut off by the show's producers, a frustrated Adele signaled her middle finger in the air.

Brit Awards host James Corden remained polite as he told Adele that he was being instructed to cut off her speech.

The breakout pop singer replied, "Can I just say, then, goodbye and I'll see you next time 'round, eh?" which she then followed with the offensive gesture.

According to the UK Press Association, the show organizers have apologized to Adele for cutting her short, saying, "We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night's biggest award, that tops off what's been an incredible year for her."

After the incident, Adele clarified that the insult was indeed directed at "the suits" (the show's organizers) and not her fans.

Adele won the Album of the Year award as well on another successful awards night for the 23-year-old who recently won six Grammy Awards.
