British singing sensation Adele is Vogue's March cover girl, where the 23-year-old music superstar gives a particularly in-depth and candid interview that reveals more of the big personality behind the world famous voice.
In the interview with Vogue's Jonathan Van Meter, Adele opens up to the mag about her insecurities -- particularly her hatred for the red carpet ("I literally get a stomach cramp"), the fact that she still gets nervous every time she sings ("I'm sh***** myself" she says about singing at Sunday night's Grammys), and her stripped-down performance style.
Lady Gaga's Best-Dressed Moments
"I definitely think that less is more," she explains. "I don't think I could pull it off, doing an elaborate show. There are a couple of songs that are worthy of a few explosions and dancing teams and stuff like that. But I would feel really uncomfortable displaying my music like that. I just want to sing it. I don't want to perform with my body."
Rihanna's Most Fashionable Red Carpet Looks
She also reveals more about the man that inspired the heartbreaking songs on 21, who still remains anonymous to this day.
"For ages I was like, As if he deserves any f****** kudos for inspiring my record," she says about her ex who's 10 years older than her. "But now, after some time, it only seems right that the person who so far has had the biggest impact on me -- has now changed my life for f***** ever with this album -- deserves a little credit. I can do things that I never dreamed I'd be able to do."
Adele has in fact found love again, this time with 37-year-old Simon Konecki, whom she describes as "wonderful."
Taylor Swift's Best Red Carpet Moments
"He's proud of me, but he don't care about what I do or what other people think," she says. "He looks after me. I don't think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn't been for him."
And what does she feel is a big misconception about herself?
"People think that I'm f****** miserable," she says. "They are really surprised when they meet me that I'm chatty and bubbly and kind of quite carefree really. I'm the total opposite of my records."
