It's been five years since Alan Cumming and Grant Shaffer became civil partners in London, and now their union is legal in the United States!

The "Good Wife" actor, 46, and his commercial-illustrator partner celebrated their anniversary by getting married at New York's Soho Grand Hotel on Saturday. Cumming tweeted several photos from the ceremony, including one of the couple's dogs, Honey and Leon.

At the couple's civil union ceremony in 2007, Cumming and Shaffer invited a handful of celebrity guests, including Geri Halliwell, Neve Campbell, Monica Lewinsky, Sir Ian McKellan and Rufus Wainwright.

This is the second marriage for Cumming, who was married to Hilary Lyon for eight years, until 1993. His next film, "The Lorax," features the voice talents of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms and Betty White. It arrives in theaters on March 2.
