Robin Thicke took a paternity leave from Alicia Keys' tour on Tuesday night at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

According to the LA Times, Alicia told the crowd of fans that Robin was absent from the show because Daddy duty called. His wife Paula Patton gave birth to their son on Tuesday. The couple reportedly planned to name the baby Julian, but no word yet on if they did in fact go with that name.

To promote his latest album "Sex Therapy," the crooner is an opening act on Alicia's "Freedom" tour, along with Melanie Fiona.
