Anderson Cooper's Daytime Talk Show Not Renewed for Third Season
Anderson Cooper's daily schedule just freed up a bit.
The journalist's syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson Live, will wrap its run at the conclusion of its second season, its studio, Warner Bros., confirmed Oct. 29.
Premiering in September 2011, Cooper's program -- renamed from Anderson to Anderson Live during its sophomore season -- will air its final batch of new episodes through summer 2013, after not seeking renewal for a third season.
"I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons," Cooper, on assignment for CNN covering Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey Monday, said in a statement to Us Weekly. "I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I'm sorry we won't be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it."
The veteran reporter, 45, will continue to helm his nighttime news program for CNN, Anderson Cooper 360.
