Los Angeles doctor Brian Boxer Wachler implanted an artificial lens into each of Lindo's eyes and, walking out of the operating room to greet his mother, Cristina, Lindo exclaimed, "It wasn't as scary as I thought. ... It was easy!"

The musician has since had a few weeks to recover, and Lindo admits he feels like a whole new man.

Beaming with joy during a follow-up interview with "Good Morning America" on Thursday, he said, "I can see almost 100 feet away, and before I couldn't. The doctor said it's only gonna get better because I'm still getting used to the lenses in my eye, so it's definitely a good success."
