MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — Actor Michael Madsen has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Malibu and is spending the night in a hospital.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says Madsen was pulled over Wednesday for driving erratically on Pacific Coast Highway in his Pontiac GTO.
Whitmore says in a preliminary test Madsen had a blood alcohol level of .21. The legal limit is .08.
Madsen complained of a medical problem and was taken to a hospital, where doctors said he should spend the night. Deputies then cited and released him. Whitmore says privacy laws prevent him from describing the medical problem.
Madsen is best known for his roles in "Reservoir Dogs," ''Kill Bill" and "Free Willy."
In March, Madsen was arrested for allegedly fighting with his son, but prosecutors declined to file charges.
