Bachelor Sean Lowe is "Definitely Still Happy" With His Final Decision, Host Chris Harrison Says
After weeks of wading through disastrous group dates, tense rose ceremonies and crazy cat fights in search of his wife, Bachelor star Sean Lowe is finally set to pop the question (or not) to one of his two finalists: Catherine Giudici, 26, and Lindsay Yenter, 24.
And, according to show host Chris Harrison, Lowe is "definitely still happy" with his decision even several months after the show finished taping in November.
"Oh yeah, he was happy with Lindsay and Catherine [as the final two]," Harrison told E! News of Lowe's decision-making process throughout the season. "I think he aspires and hopes and looks to have something like AshLee represents, I think that's what his parents have."
"But I also think that in the end he realized he's just not there yet, and she's a little more mature and a little further along than he is," he continued. "Catherine and Lindsay are a little younger at heart and more fancy-free, where he can think, 'OK, that's a little more me right now.'"
During the Fantasy Suite episode of ABC's hit reality show, Lowe, 29, sent second runner-up AshLee Frazier home in what the Houston native called a blindside during the Women Tell All episode on Monday, March 4.
"He'd been telling me, 'You're going to meet my family. You and my sister are going to be best friends,'" she explained at the time. "So this whole time, I'm thinking, 'Huh, I got this.' And then all of a sudden I didn't."
Harrison says that Lowe's choice going into the finale was a no-brainer in his eyes, though he admits he had "no idea" how the bachelor would choose his finalists going into the hometown dates.
Lowe himself recently admitted that the final decision was a heart-wrenching one that actually brought him to tears.
"You're going to see me, basically, have a mental breakdown," he told Mario Lopez in an interview for radio show On With Mario airing Friday, March 7. "I get to a point where I'm like, man, both of these girls are so wonderful and I could see my life heading in either direction. And I don't know what to do, and I'm torn."
