Just call him Shirtless Sean.
Sean Lowe, the star of the upcoming season of ABC's hit The Bachelor, may be a self-professed family man, but the Dallas native had no problem going a little PG-13 in the show's first episode.
"Leaving Dallas, leaving my normal life, arriving in L.A., I just feel very blessed, very humbled," he says in the voiceover for the clip. "Just lucky."
Lowe, who was one of the three finalists on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette, spends most of the minute-long clip shirtless as he extolls the blessing that is his life.
"I lead a wonderful life. I love my career, got great friends, I'm a family man and I like being close to my family," he says over footage of him running in the sun, lifting weights and looking pensive -- all sans shirt.
Not that Lowe's love story thus far has been all butterflies and roses.
The single star also hints at his heartache from being rejected by Maynard in favor of last season's frontrunners Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk.
"I know it's going to be physically exhausting, and I know there's gonna be a lot of emotionally taxing times, and I might go through that same heartache that I went through with Emily," he admits in the clip. "Just thinking about those feelings makes this so much more real."
Show host Chris Harrison has said that the 29-year-old former insurance agent will be different from previous Bachelor stars because of his sincerity.
"Sean's doing great and his choices and decisions so far have been really good. He's handling it really well," Harrison told Us Weekly in October 2012. "I think people are really going to like him because he's so sincere. He really is looking for that someone and that makes it fun for everyone."
Lowe's season of The Bachelor premieres Monday, Jan. 7, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
