Married to Ryan Reynolds since September 2012, Blake Lively has begun to settle in to newlywed life -- and her style sure reflects it! Once known for revealing, super-sexy styles, Mrs. Reynolds has shown off a more mature style since tying the knot.
"I don't work with a stylist. It's never someone else imposing something like 'This is a trend, you should embrace this.' [I wear] whatever I'm feeling, and sometimes things are really beautiful, but they just don't photograph well, and that's that," Lively -- the star Us readers voted as their Celeb Style Crush for the week of March 25 -- admitted to Us Weekly of her evolving fashion sense.
Ditching cleavage-baring frocks (like the plunging red Versace dress she wore to the 2009 Emmys) for more sophisticated and buttoned-up outfits of late, Mrs. Reynolds, 25, seems to be more discriminating now about flaunting her assets. One recent look where she showed off her sexy, lean legs: At the March 10 Croods premiere in NYC, where the actress worked the red carpet of her hubby's new film in a Marios Schwab dress with a PVC bodice panel and white hemline.
When she's not all dolled up for appearances, this newlywed rarely sacrifices style, even though she has toned down her fashion color palette considerably.
Stepping out for a business meeting February 4 in NYC, Lively layered in subdued shades of brown, including a Stella McCartney sweater dress, Karen Kane fur collar peacoat and Givenchy's Antigonia bag. (The Gucci spokeswoman stuck with the muted color scheme two days later in a Gucci dress and Christian Louboutin heels.)
It appears Reynolds is pleased with his wife's chic style at home or on the red carpet. "Ryan loves the comfort Blake provides," an insider told Us after their wedding. "It's like, 'You were on the cover of Vogue and you want to cook me dinner? Yes, please!'"
