Actor-director Zach Braff's representative has dismissed reports the actor is gay, insisting a statement recently posted on his former website was the work of a hacker.

The note, posted on the "Scrubs" star's old website on Wednesday, reads, "I have been hiding a secret inside me for too long. The human mind can only bare so much before it explodes in emotions, and well... it is time to let the world know. I am excited and proud to announce that I am an open member of the homosexual community."

However, Braff's spokesperson tells TMZ the actor is not gay and was simply the victim of an Internet prankster.

The rep says, "He was hacked. ... That site has been down since 2006."
