Breaking Amish: 5 Shocking Show Myths Debunked!
The shunning truths have been revealed!
From babies to marriage bombshells, Abe Schmucker, Rebecca Byler, Sabrina High, Jeremiah Raber and Kate Stoltzfus addressed it all on part two of TLC's Breaking Amish: The Shunning Truth reunion Nov. 18 -- going into detail about some of this season's most buzzed-about hot topics.
Here, Us Weekly breaks down five of the biggest myths that the Breaking Amish cast debunked:
1 - Sabrina was married before, tying the knot in a traditional Mennonite ceremony. Dealing with the fallout of leaked wedding pictures posted online by a former friend, High told reunion host Michelle Beadle that her 2009 ceremony adhered to Mennonite traditions and did not have dancing or alcohol. "I'm not ashamed I was married," High said, confirming that her divorce is still pending but expected to be finalized soon. "I still love [my ex-husband] -- he's a good man and he's honorable. I have nothing but good things to say about him."
2 - Divorced father of three Jeremiah is not a deadbeat dad. "Do your frickin' homework," Raber fumed at viewers who sided with his ex, Naomi Stutzman, after she claimed Raber abused her and that the father of a 3, 5 and 7-year-old was behind on child support payments. "I did spend three days in jail for supposedly [abusing her]. The court threw it out," Raber said. "I regret that I didn't pay child support in the past, but I'm paying it now."
3 - Aspiring model Kate fully intends to return to New York City to pursue a career in fashion -- but first she's putting her legal drama behind her. Arrested in Florida for DUI shortly before beginning Breaking Amish production in 2012, the beauty is working her way through alcohol eduction classes and finishing up her probation before focusing full-time on modeling. "I'm trying to get everything in my past and move on," she confirmed "Right now I'm taking care of all of the court-related issues and after that I want to move up to New York."
4 - As it turns out, Kate and Jeremiah aren't the only cast members who have been arrested. "I spent eight hours in the drunk tank -- it was pretty cool actually, because my mom and dad didn't have to know about it," Abe revealed of a 2008 arrest for public intoxication in Kentucky.
5 - Yes, Rebecca and Abe knew each other before the show, but no -- they didn't date! "We've known each other for quite a long time. In a church as small as the one we were in, it's hard not to know each other. I was dating another guy [before the show]," Rebecca confirmed on the reunion. As for that cozy-looking photo of Abe and Rebecca posing with her infant daughter making waves online, Rebecca said it was just a moment between pals. "I'm sorry that I'm a mom and trying to protecting my kid. I'm very sensitive when it comes to my daughter because I'm trying to be a good mom," Rebecca said, refusing to talk about her child. "I don't have to answer to anybody."
