The "Sheen-ius" was not so smart, and he knows it.

Charlie Sheen is known for, among other things, not really having much of a filter. Heck, that's one of the reasons why we love him. But on Jan. 6, he was forced to issued an apology to Kim Kardashian after skewering her on social media.

On his Twitter, Charlie wrote, "Dear Kim, my extreme bad. really embarrassed by my actions. I was already pissed about some other crap that had nothing to do with you. I heard a story that

bothered me. wrote some trash you didn't deserve. Ever. I'm an idiot as often as I'm a genius. that day, clearly I was the former. xox c #ShutUpSheen"

The whole feud (or lack thereof?) started earlier in the day after Charlie heard a story about Kim giving the Heisman to a 6-year-old girl wanting an autograph. The incident Charlie was referring to allegedly happened a month ago. Allegedly, of course, being the key word.

At the time, a friend of Kim's told TMZ the entire story was false, saying Kim told the source that she would "never say no to autographs, especially kids."

Sound like Charlie may have gotten some bad information. Or, as he says, "I'm an idiot as often as I'm a genius."
