New Zealand Prime Minister John Key also commented about the native's tragic passing. "Shocked and saddened to hear of Charlotte Dawson’s death," he wrote via Twitter.
In her earlier years, Dawson modeled in both Europe and New York for a decade before moving to Australia. She appeared on "Next Top Model" from 2007 to 2011, and also joined the Australian version of "The Celebrity Apprentice" in 2012. According to BBC, the TV personality has had a history of depression and was admitted to a hospital after being cyber bullied in 2012. She joined the anti-bullying organization Angels Goal as a spokesperson that same year.
