No subject is off limits when you are Chris Rock! The funnyman managed to mix laugher with charity when he got in a number of jabs aimed at broadcaster Brian Williams while presenting at the amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani's on Wednesday night.

When introducing friend Rosario Dawson, Chris made a dig at the disgraced NBC Nightly News anchor, joking about why he was late to the glittering bash. "I went to the wrong Cipriani's. Brian Williams gave me directions. Lying b------. He's got more games than Ray Rice," said the 50-year-old comedian.
Apparently, the barb left the audience in a state of awkward silence, the "Top Five" actor quickly retorted, "What did you expect from me?!"

Last week, the newsman made headlines himself after once again claiming that he was in a helicopter that had been hit by a grenade while he was in Iraq in 2003. News reports then emerged questioning the legitimacy of the story. NBC subsequently launched an investigation into the statement and subsequently Williams recanted the story. On Tuesday, the network announced that Williams was being placed on a six-month suspension without pay for telling his tall tale.
In a memo distributed to staff, NBC News President Deborah Turnes wrote, "As I'm sure you understand, this was a very hard decision. Certainly there will be those who disagree. But we believe this suspension is the appropriate and proportionate action."
