A warrant for actor Columbus Short's arrest has been increased to $500,000 following the troubled star's no-show in court on Wednesday.

The former "Scandal" star was scheduled to appear in court to face charges of domestic violence following a fight with his estranged wife Tanee McCall-Short.

Short has been a fugitive from justice after failing to make it to a hearing last month, preferring to extend his Barbados vacation.

His aides tell that the actor is expected to return to the U.S. late on Wednesday.

A bench warrant for his arrest was initially issued on July 30 after he failed to attend a hearing in his domestic violence case.
