Sean "Diddy" Combs' party at a hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. on Sunday was shut down due to overcrowding, and even the star himself couldn't get in.

The hip-hop mogul organized a bash at the Harrah's Resort to mark America's Independence Day, but security teams at the hotel were overwhelmed by the number of revelers who turned up.

The venue was closed off and partygoers were banned from entering or leaving the event for more than an hour.

Combs admits he was caught up in the chaos and was denied entry to his own party.

In a series of posts on his page, he writes, "The party was so crazy I couldn't even get in! Ten thousand people showed up. Damn I was ready to party ... I just shut down Atlantic City!"

A representative for the event confirmed to the New York Post's "Page Six" that it closed early due to the large turnout and Combs was unable to make an appearance.
