Damian Lewis Bald: Homeland Star Shaves Head for Movie
Bald move, Mr. Lewis. Homeland star Damian Lewis -- who plays patriot-turned-terrorist Nicholas Brody on the hit Showtime series -- has shed his trademark red hair in favor of a clean-shaven dome for his role in the upcoming movie The Silent Storm.
The 42-year-old British actor showed off his new look on Monday, June 24, while out in Isle of Mull, Scotland, where the drama is shooting. With his bald head, sunglasses, and black peacoat, he was nearly unrecognizable from his Homeland character.
According to Deadline.com, The Silent Storm is about "an enigmatic outsider [played by Oblivion's Andrea Riseborough]...who's caught between her commanding minister husband [Lewis] and the vitality of a 17-year-old delinquent who is sent to live with them." Newcomer Ross Anderson plays the latter.
Lewis is currently on a break from filming the third season of Homeland. It's scheduled to premiere on Showtime in September.
