The glitter is glistening, the sequins are scattered, and the feathers are flying — it must be time for another new season of Dancing With the Stars!
On Monday night, the season 19 cast hit the ballroom stage for the first very time and it was definitely one of the most entertaining season premieres we've seen in a very long time. ABC most definitely cranked up the talent meter this year and brought us some of the best first routines in DWTS history!
Of course there were also plenty of shake-ups in the ballroom in Monday's live premiere. Former professional partner Julianne Hough took her place at the panel as the newest permanent judge, and she brought her first-hand expertise to the table, as well as some serious… ahem… assets in a very low-cut white dress!
So which of the contestants have emerged as the season 19 frontrunners, and which wannabe dancers should just run away? Keep reading for our recap of the best and worst moments of the premiere. Plus, find out which sensational celeb received four straight 9's on their very first routine!
NEWS: Did You Know This is 'Probably' Cheryl Burke's Last Season?!
Best | Alfonso Ribiero: If you thought that Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribiero only had one dance move up his sleeve, then you were dead wrong. Although Ribiero and his dancing partner Witney Carson were the last to perform, they certainly brought the best performance of the night with their fast-paced Jive. In fact, the couple scored an incredible total of 36 points with four straight 9's from the blown-away judges. (DWTS Fun-Fact: Getting all 9's on the first night has only happened three other times: Kristi Yamaguchi in season 6 as well as Charlie White and Amber Riley in the past two seasons.)
Worst | Lolo Jones: Oh Lolo, that dance was serious a no-no! The Olympian was by far the most awkward and awful dancer of the night. Not only was it clear that she lacked rhythm, had no stage presence, and let the nerves of the first night scare her stiff, but she then had the audacity to blame her horrible performance on the faulty text message stunt that started her dance. (She even spent the rest of the night pouting in the contestants' skybox!!) Somehow she and her partner, newbie Keo Motsepe, did not receive the lowest score of the night with their 22 points, but we wish they had.

Best | Sadie Robertson: This little duckling seriously impressed us when she shook her stuff in a cha-cha set to Katy Perry's smash summer hit, "Birthday." The 17-year-old Duck Dynasty star claims to have never danced before but her perfectly-placed footwork and fast-shaking hips earned her, and her dancing partner Mark Ballas, a solid 34 points with two 8's and two 9's from the judges. "Your placement especially the leg placement which is so difficult to get, your feet, your finish, it was fantastic," gushed judge Bruno Tonioli.
Worst | Bestey Johnson: We hate to say it because we adore Betsey Johnson, but this designer's dance was a disaster! As expected, Betsey and her dancing pro Tony Dovolani, highlighted her her high-energy kicks and oh-so flexible splits, but a prop malfunction with a row of feather boas cost the duo a higher score. The 72-year-old blonde ended up with the lowest total of the night with 25 points.
Best | Lea Thompson: Who needs a hover board when you can glide like Lea Thompson?! The Back to the Future star proved that she is most definitely still a babe on the dance floor with her elegant foxtrot. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba exclaimed that Lea and her partner, newcomer Artem Chigvintsev, delivered "one of the best first foxtrots" in the series' history. Lea snagged an impressive 32 points.

Honorable Mentions: Brunette bombshell Janel Parrish proved to be a pretty little dancer when she took the stage with her jive, and with the support of the PLL Army, we've got feeling that this contender will make far in the competition. Meanwhile Tommy Chong wowed the audience with his grass-themed cha-cha (complete a surprise appearance by his BFF Cheech Marin!) and former UFC heavyweight Randy Couture showed off his twinkle toes in a nearly flawless foxtrot. Lastly, we have to give props to Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett and his "grool" jive. Not only did he dazzle with his smile and his energetic facial expressions, but his hair looked really sexy pushed back.
