Bayside Tigers in the house! Saved by the Bell alumni Mario Lopez and Dennis Haskins -- a.k.a. A.C. Slater and Principal Belding -- made every fan's dream come true on Thursday, Jan. 31, when they reunited at a 1990s-themed Throwback Thursday party at Pink Taco Sunset in West Hollywood.
Joining fellow '90s icons including 'N SYNC's Lance Bass and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's Tatiana Ali, the former co-stars enjoyed performances by All-4-One and Debbie Gibson. Lopez, 39, attended with longtime love Courtney Mazza, whom he married in Punta Mita, Mexico, on Dec. 1.
"We're excited to be out on a date night because we don't get as many as we'd like being parents and all," he told Us Weekly at the event, which was sponsored by Svedka. (The couple have a 2-year-old daughter, Gia.)
Asked whether their little girl is a fan of Saved by the Bell, the actor's wife said that Gia doesn't watch the show. However, she does recognize "dada" when Mazza records the re-runs -- which are more popular than ever, thanks to the fact that Netflix recently added the series to its "instant watch" service.
"I think it's funny and great, and I love that it's popular again on Netflix and raising another generation," the X Factor host told Us. "I'd be up for [a reunion], but I'm really busy, so I don't know when I'd have a chance to do it."
Haskins, for one, is eager to get the old gang together. As he told TMZ recently, "I have always supported a reunion of any kind including all of us. Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much...They deserve it!"
Incidentally, Saved by the Bell wasn't the only '90s sitcom represented at the bash. Blossom co-stars Joey Lawrence and Mayim Bialik also reunited and, according to a source, "looked ecstatic to see each other."
"Once Joey Lawrence arrived, Mayim ran over to greet him with a huge hug," the insider told Us, adding that they sat at the same table for the rest of the night. "Joey whispered something in her ear as they smiled for photos, and Mayim began cracking up."
Bialik, who recently separated from husband Michael Stone, seemed to be having a great time at the event and even sang along when Debbie Gibson performed a cover of "Rolling in the River" by Tina Turner. "I'm doing pretty well," she told Us at the event of life after divorce. "I think once you force yourself to put your kids first, it makes you not able to get stuck in a lot of that adult crap that we all tend to get stuck in. So, yeah, I'd say that we're all doing really well."
