When Us Weekly chatted with two-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas at the P&G Family Home in London on Aug. 8, the gymnast said if she ever met her celebrity crush, Ian Somerhalder, "I'll show him my gold medal!"
The 16-year-old athlete made good on her promise when she filmed a cameo on Somerhalder's "The Vampire Diaries" on Sept. 19. The leading man, 33, tweeted a picture with Douglas from the show's set in Georgia. "Eating Gabby's gold medal!" Somerhalder wrote. "Yum."

"Love it," Douglas responded via Twitter. "By the way, how does it taste?"
Douglas also posted a photo with Somerhalder's co-star and girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, 23. The gymnast called Dobrev "gorgeous and an amazing actress" and said she "had an awesome time" meeting the cast of the CW hit.
"I had a blast meeting everyone," Douglas raved, to which Dobrev responded, "I hope you had fun -- you were great ! [Your] smile is even brighter in person."
Candice Accola, who plays a vampire named Caroline Forbes, told Douglas it "was such a joy meeting you and your family today! Keep shining! Come back to Mystic Falls anytime."
"Thank you so much!" Douglas told the 25-year-old actress via Twitter. "You are incredible and beautiful it was super nice to meet you! I'm so coming back!"
Douglas' cameo on "The Vampire Diaries" will air Nov. 29. The first episode of Season 4 will premiere Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
