The British human rights lawyer presided over the ceremony, which took place last Thursday at the luxury Villa Mangiacane winery and spa in Tuscany. People later reported that the setting was "a grassy ledge overlooking Florence and the surrounding countryside under a canopy of grape vines," adding that "the estate stretches out for 600 acres and features vineyards and olive groves."
Clooney, who owns property in Italy, accompanied his bride-to-be to the event and charmed fellow guests, with a source telling local paper Il Gazzettino del Chianti, "(Clooney was) affable, educated and nice with everyone."
The couple became engaged in April. Clooney is expected to wed Alamuddin in September. Another guest, Sandrine Tamara Steiner, posted a photo of the ceremony on Instagram.
