George Clooney probably never had to compromise all that much in his previous relationships. If he wanted to spend the summer at his villa on Lake Como or hunker down at his home base in Los Angeles, his typically underemployed girlfriends would tend to tag along. But it seems he might be making some major life changes for British fiancée Amal Alamuddin.
That's according to the New York Post, which says the Oscar winner plans to start house-hunting in London, where the human rights attorney lives and works.
"Amal wants to continue her work, and George is very supportive and proud of her career," says a source. "He will soon be going to London so they can look for a new home there together."
Alamuddin, 36, returned to London this week after an extended L.A. visit with Clooney, 53, who proposed on April 22 with a 7-carat ring he helped design. The couple celebrated their engagement last weekend with a party in Malibu attended by several of his celebrity pals.
Thanks to the sparkler on her finger, Amal is now a paparazzi target, with London photographers trailing her everywhere from a hair salon to the U.S. embassy.
