Like you, we've lain awake at night and wondered, "I wonder what Gerard Butler is up to these days." The answer, it turns out, is that he's providing brides-to-be with stories they can dine out on for years to come. Last weekend, the Scottish star, 44, became the guest of honor at a bachelorette party in Sydney, where he's prepping for his new movie, "Gods of Egypt."
The London Daily Mail says the bride, Maja Nogic, and her pals planned to spend the day touring Sydney Harbor, but when they arrived at the dock, the boat company informed them that there was a surprise waiting on board.
"We thought it was a stripper, because it was a hen's party," the bride's friend, Dragana Ogorelica, tells the paper. "But then we saw [Gerard] standing on the boat. We all just started screaming."
Butler, presumably in full-on rake mode, yelled to the ladies, "Is this a hen's party? Can I join? We're going to dance a little bit, drink a little bit."
He then proceeded to tell Nogic that her husband-to-be was a "really lucky guy." Seems the groom was off on his own bachelor party weekend, but responded to her texts about Butler by saying that he would understand if she ran away with him.
Ogorelica gushes that the actor, who gamely took pictures with the bride and her pals, was "so nice and so relaxed. We all loved him."
At least when they could understand him.
"His accent, oh my goodness, it was so beautiful," she swoons. "You couldn't understand him half the time, but you didn't care because it was just gorgeous."
The random celebrity encounter "started our day amazingly," adds Dragana.
