This might explain why Nadya "Octomom" Suleman thought it would be a good idea to pretend to breastfeed two dolls at a drag show a couple weeks back. Her rep confirms to TMZ that she's checked into a California rehab facility to deal with a prescription drug problem.

That means her 14 kids, including the eight 3-year-olds, will be sans their single mom for the next 30 days.

Her spokesman says Suleman, 37, voluntarily entered treatment after growing dependent on the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, which she started popping to "deal with stress."

Besides the obvious, recent stressors in Octomom's life include a bankruptcy filing, accusations of drinking and driving with the kids and an investigation into sexual abuse allegations made by a pair of former nannies (the district attorney declined to file charges, citing insufficient evidence).

"Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors," her rep tells TMZ. "Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be."

Her brood of 14 is reportedly being looked after by a team of three nannies and two friends. The Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center isn't charging her for the treatment (presumably figuring it will receive plenty of promotional consideration), despite Suleman's recent solvency thanks to her foray into porn.
