Miley Cyrus' rough month continues. On Tuesday, the popster, 21, was hospitalized with a "severe allergic reaction to antibiotics," forcing her to cancel the scheduled Kansas City date of her Bangerz tour.
That's according to a statement from her publicist, who adds that she's been placed on "medical rest by her doctors."
Miley assured fans she was OK by tweeting the photo below from her hospital bed: "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me 🌈."
She also apologized to ticketholders, saying, "Kansas I promise I'm as 💔 as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. 😿 Not being with yall makes me feel [bleepier] than I already do 😷"
Cyrus later kvetched to a follower, "I hate this. & I hate hospitals. & I hate needles. & I hate laying in a bed bored AF. & I hate feeling [like crap]."
She remained n the hospital overnight, which meant another cancellation. "The hospital is sayin i wont b released today😿 therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis," she tweeted. "Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control." And Cyrus didn't appreciate people doubting her condition: "humans can b so selfish. if any1 thinks id rather b layin n a hospital bed than doing what i love on stage theyre [bleeping] LAME. im miserable😿"
On Monday, Miley revealed she was suffering from a cough, sore throat and fever ("why is this cough coming back 😿 #sorethroat #feelingnobueno. I woke up like disssss #SICK 😷😷😷… fever fever go away"). A fan then asked why she was sick so often. Her reply: "No more kissing fans."
Last week, she canceled a performance in Charlotte, NC, at the eleventh hour, reportedly because of the flu. The axed show came soon after the untimely death of her dog, Floyd, whom she's since tearfully mourned in concert. She also just re-homed the puppy that her mom, Tish, gave her after Floyd's passing.
