Prince Harry hits the big 3-0 in September, a milestone that many have predicted will signal the end of his bachelor days. Now, with five months to go, the rumor mill is heating up with talk that he's ready to settle down with Cressida Bonas, his blue-blooded, scrunchie-loving girlfriend of two years.
The London Daily Mail claims the Bonas clan has a "wedding summit" planned to talk about the possibility of a royal betrothal.
‘There is a family gathering to discuss an engagement," alleges another insider. "The announcement will be sooner than many people think."
In recent weeks, Bonas, 25, has taken a higher-profile role by Harry's side, from joining him in an official capacity at a charity event to stepping out with him for a rugby match.
"Harry and Cressida will be married," declares the insider. "It is all going ahead. It is just a matter of time."
But a People source pooh-poohs, "If they were going to get engaged, Harry would want to keep it so very quiet. And they aren't the sort of family that needs to have a 'summit' over an engagement."
Meanwhile, reports continue to swirl that the prince has invited Bonas to join him at Queen Elizabeth's Balmoral estate in Scotland this summer, presumably to meet his grandma. It's a trip that Duchess Kate made in October 2010, shortly before her engagement to Prince William was announced.
But that ostensible jaunt will have to be squeezed into Harry's very busy travel schedule. Kensington Palace announced on Friday that he'll head to Estonia and Italy next month, where he'll take part in military-themed events, followed by trips in June to Brazil and Chile.
Speaking of his official duties, the ginger-topped heir once again proved his easy rapport with kids by joining in on their playground fun during an appearance Friday with London mayor Boris Johnson. The pics are ridiculously adorable, so be sure to click on to see Harry goofing around …
