Girls who make duck faces together don't necessarily stick together. TMZ says Selena Gomez has ditched short-lived BFFs Kendall and Kylie Jenner because she feels they're a "toxic distraction" from her first love, music (and somewhere, Justin Bieber sighs heavily).
The purported life purge comes two weeks after she joined the sisters -- and on-off boyfriend Bieber -- at the Coachella Music Festival. But amid the bands, hipsters and corporate sponsorships, Selena apparently had an "epiphany" over the bad influences surrounding her (e.g. alcohol, drugs, hangers-on) and decided to make changes.
The recently rehabbed starlet, 21, unfollowed the Jenner sisters on Instagram (along with Bieber and everyone else -- she's not following anyone now) and deleted all the photos they took together Coachella.
Seems Gomez, who recently fired her manager parents, is hoping to remove "the biggest sources of negativity" from her life, including the Jenners. No word on whether Bieber, whose exploits this week included offending China and Korea and getting a grilling at LAX, is part of the weeding-out process.
Meanwhile, the London Sun (aka the Grain of Salt Daily) claims the Biebs might have played a part in her Coachella revelations by paying a bit too much attention to 16-year-old Kylie.
"At Coachella, [Justin and Selena] looked to be back on track. Selena was hanging out with Kylie, too, and they were behaving like best friends," alleges a source. "Then [Selena] heard stuff about Justin and Kylie and felt totally betrayed. She went berserk and called it all off again. … She really needs to wash her hands of Justin for good."
According to TMZ, Gomez is now "determined to stay on the straight and narrow," and to that end, she's focused on making music and has been attending church almost every day.
