Like many people, Julia Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, spent part of Sunday stringing up Christmas lights. And like many people, the Oscar winner dressed down for the occasion in a comfy sweater and baggy jeans. The difference, however, is that the paparazzi tagged along to capture her casual look, and speculation immediately began that the A-lister, 46, might be hiding more than a few extra gingerbread cookies under her loose-fitting top.
But don't send those congratulations just yet: Julia's rep denies that she's expecting another stork visit. The actress is already mom to three kids with Moder: twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, who just turned 9, and 6-year-old Henry.
She made a conscious decision to take a major step back from the spotlight once she settled into domestic bliss.
"I had been working for 18 years when I had Hazel and Finn almost nine years ago," Roberts recently told the Hollywood Reporter. "So I felt like I earned that time in my house and in my kitchen and in bed all day with these two little people. I felt that was my present to myself."
Roberts acknowledged she was "fortunate to work a lot, and I worked hard, and I was very devoted to that," but things changed when she became a mom.
"I earned this jewel box of a life that I felt completely entitled to," she explained. "It still is really important, but it has made me take more things into consideration. 'August: Osage County' [in theaters on Christmas Day] was the first time I left my family to go work. And I almost didn't do it because I just felt so heartsick at the idea. I'd never been away from my children."
These days, "It's my privilege and honor to cook three meals a day for my family, and it's a luxury on a level that I didn't even realize, because it can be relentless for me on some days," she told Marie Claire. "You have pride in how you take care of your family."
