Longing for length!
Halle Berry owns the pixie cut, but the actress is giving her go-to look a break. The "Extant" star, 48, emerged in Hollywood on Monday, Sept. 15, offering up some serious hair envy. Berry showcased a sleek set of extensions that would even make Rapunzel jealous.
For the outing, Berry slightly concealed her new hairstyle under a grey and blue fedora. The rest of her street style was just as casual: The mom of two completed the look with a lightweight white crisscross blouse, a tan colored snakeskin bag, and J Brand Aoki jeans.
Berry’s moves in the beauty department — like wearing her hair short — have always been calculated, as she explained to the Huffington Post in 2012.
“I’ve had long hair until I was about 18 or 19, when I first started acting. I would go to auditions and see every other girl in the room with long, curly hair — whether it be natural or weaved in,” she said. “I remember thinking this isn’t working for me. I have to somehow be different from these girls, so I cut all my hair off.”
The decision to chop her long locks was a risky one, but it paid off in the end. “Two weeks after I did that, I got my first acting job.”
