Jamie Dornan is sitting in a Irish pub in Vancouver, Canada, a beer by his side and a rifle in his hand. The rifle, in this instance, is fake, only used for the video game Big Buck Hunter HD.
But, it's real weapons and crazy fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" that strikes fear into his body and soul. His major fear, he said, is a very graphic and haunting one.
"I almost don't want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I'll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere," Jamie said from the pub in an interview with Details Magazine. "Because a lot of people are very angry that I'm playing this character. And I'm a father now, and a husband. I don't want to die yet."

"And when I do get murdered," he says, "people will say, 'God, isn't it haunting how he did that interview in Details magazine and predicted his own death on the red carpet?'"
For now, though, Jamie can just sit back and wait for the reaction of the fans.
"I don't think you can do anything to prepare for whatever the reaction is to the film. Set up sand bags? Stay indoors? I don't know," he said.
Preparing for the fans reaction to "Fifty Shades" was one thing, but preparing to play Christian Grey, well, that was another thing, and one he wishes he could have had a bit longer to perfect it.
"Christian Grey as a character is pretty obsessive about staying in shape and exercise. It's a big part of who he is, so we had to work on that," Jamie said. "But you know, I came into the game quite late with it, so I probably would have liked a little bit more time to get into peak shape, but we did what we could do with the time we had."
