Jared took to Instagram on April 28 to show off his bulging muscles, all while wearing a tank top emblazoned with a Superman logo. How fitting!

Jared captioned the image with several emojis, but no words. With muscles like that, he doesn't need to say much.

Weight gain has been an issue for Jared, but he recently said he's eating every two hours to prepare his body for his role as The Joker .

In February, Jared told Billboard magazine, "I'm trying to gain a lot of weight. It means I have to eat every couple of hours - and I'm terrible at eating a lot."
But he knows a thing or two about changing his body. For "Dallas Buyers Club" he lost 30 pounds. In 2007 he gained 60 pounds to play Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's assassin, in "Chapter 27." He starved himself to play a junkie in 2000's "Requiem for a Dream."
He's aware that the yo-yoing weight isn't exactly the best thing.
"It can be an incredibly rewarding, but also destructive, thing to do," he said. "Your body changes forever."
So does your hair…. at least temporarily.
