NEW YORK (AP) -- The television season's biggest flop is over, ushered out without sentiment by Jay Leno.

NBC's "The Jay Leno Show" ended quietly on Tuesday, doomed by bad ratings and bad vibes.

Leno was told "you're fired" by Donald Trump. But Leno will return to the "Tonight" show after the Olympics.

In his monologue, Leno said it seems like just yesterday he was telling NBC this was not going to work.

Leno also joked the show was supposed be on for two years but he got five months for good behavior.
