Jennie Garth Attaches Her Own Hair Extensions With Pliers
Jennie Garth is a DIY kinda gal. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star took matters into her own hands during her hair appointment in L.A. March 12. Using a pair of blue pliers, the 40-year-old actress attached blonde extensions to her scalp as a stylist worked on other areas of her hair.
One week earlier, at the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction to Benefit Autism Speaks in New York City, Garth admitted she normally washes her hair "every other day" but added that "it depends on what I've been doing, if I've been shooting or had it done for something."
The TV star told Us Weekly she likes to pamper herself when possible. "I see a dermatologist and I get facials," she revealed at the Lindt event. "I think those are my biggest splurges."
Garth's three daughters with ex Peter Facinelli -- Luca, 15, Lola, 10, and Fiona, 6 -- are taking after their mother when it comes to their beauty routines. "My makeup is off limits and they know that because I love makeup so I have a lot," the actress said. "But Luca, my oldest daughter, I tend to give her things and we sort of share makeup."
The famous mom -- dating indie-musician Jeremy Salken -- does make an exception, however, for lip balm. "My girls and I have been using Maybelline Baby Lips," Garth told Us. "We love those!"
