Jillian Michaels is back to kick some butt!
The celebrity trainer will rejoin the trainers on The Biggest Loser when the reality weight loss show returns for season 13 this January, NBC announced Tuesday.
One of the original trainers on the series when it debuted in 2004, Michaels appeared on ten seasons (with a one-season departure in 2006, and a two-season break that began in spring 2011). For her return, Michaels will work with show's first-ever kid participants, ages 13-17.
"As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child's life," said of the her new Biggest Loser challenge. During her second sabbatical from the show, Michaels became a mom. This past May, her partner, Heidi Rhoades, gave birth son Phoenix; that same month, they adopted two-year old daughter Lukensia from Haiti.
"Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life," adds Michaels.
She will join fellow trainers and fitness experts Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince for season 14 -- which "will also feature special celebrity guest stars and additional surprises," the statement teased.
