Jim Carrey is setting the record straight on recent comments about infidelity that he made on Twitter that sparked a controversy!
The funnyman gets serious for ET, saying, "To anyone whose grievances have chosen me as their cause, I would say first, that I recognize that tendency in myself, but if you knew me well, you'd see that your resentment has been misplaced. I wish every human being nothing but love and immeasurable happiness. Now, I'm going to re-enter the Twitter stream and see if there is anyone left to offend!"
The controversy stems from recent tweets from Jim addressing the Tiger Woods infidelity scandal and how the actor said that Tiger's wife Elin had to know about her husband's transgressions. He tweeted, "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity. Elin had [to be] a willing participant on the ride [for] whatever reason."
After his remarks sparked a backlash, he stated, "I want 2 make it CLEAR that I do not condone infidelity at all, but 2 some degree the responsibility 4 it is shared by both people."
