Too much of a boob thing? Jourdan Dunn, a British-born model who has walked runways for the likes of top designers like Marc Jacobs and Chanel, lost a chance to strut at the Christian Dior haute couture fashion show on Monday July 1, in Paris, because of her breasts, she claims.
The stunning 22-year-old model took to Twitter this weekend to vent her disappointment. "Ahahahahahaha I just for cancelled from Dior because of my boobs! I [HEART] fashion #Couture" she tweeted on June 30.
Dior has recently been criticized for its lack of diversity on the runway, and Dunn herself lightheartedly acknowledged the difficulties of being black in the fashion industry. "I'm normally told I'm cancelled because I'm 'coloured' so being cancelled because off my boobs is a minor : )" she tweeted a few minutes after her initial post. (According to Fashionista, the fashion house ended up hiring six black models for the July 1 show.)
Dunn, who is a single mom to a 3-year-old son, Riley, hosts a cooking show on Jay-Z's Life + Times YouTube channel; on "Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn", she shares how to prepare her favorite dishes, sometimes with help from fellow fashion friends like models Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss.
