No word on whether Reese Witherspoon had a bachelorette party before wedding Jim Toth last weekend -- but she probably got plenty of raunchy laughs over dinner on Thursday with pal Chelsea Handler!
On Thursday, the just-married actress and her comedienne pal, both 35, hit Tavern, a fave eatery near Witherspoon's home in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood. (Hours earlier, Witherspoon flashed her wedding band for the first time.)
"Reese comes in here almost once a week," a Tavern eyewitness tells UsMagazine.com. "She's just always in a happy mood and is never anything but pleasant to the staff." Her go-to dish: the halibut.
The pair arrived together -- with Handler in the driver's seat -- and took a table in the restaurant's back room.
Says another observer of their meal, "They were smiling alot and talking nonstop" during an extended catch-up session. The gal pals munched on fish, fresh vegetables and sipped vodka gimlets.
"They really kept to themselves," the observer says. "They seemed to be really enjoying their time together, dishing and laughing."
No wonder the Water for Elephants star is in such a good mood: Her March 26 nuptials at her Ojai, Calif. ranch proved to be a picture-perfect affair with tons of A-list guests and elegant, personal touches.
Second-time bride Witherspoon wore a strapless, pale-pink Monique Lhuillier gown and satin Jimmy Choo platform sandals as she walked down the aisle to wed CAA agent Toth, 40. Befitting the couple's Southern roots, a bluegrass band played throughout the ceremony, which took place beneath a canopy in the courtyard in front of the Ojai house.
150 guests were on hand for the emotional event -- including Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Kate Hudson, Sean Penn, Scarlett Johansson, Renee Zellweger, Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew McConaughey and love Camila Alves, Alyssa Milano, Colin Hanks, Isla Fisher and hubby Sacha Baron Cohen.
"Reese and Jim were beaming all night," a guest tells the new issue of Us Weekly of the farm style chic affair, which featured a s'mores lounge, a wood-plank dance floor and gift bags with Ojai honey and pecan scones.
