"Happy Easter from Kai & Katy! (and a silly rabbit)," the 28-year-old singer tweeted with a photo of herself holding the adorable baby girl while posing next to the Easter Bunny and wearing rabbit ears. Perry smiled as she held baby Kai in her arms and tried to get her to smile for the camera.
In early November, Perry revealed her cousin would be welcoming a baby girl right before Thanksgiving. And the "Part of Me" singer showed off baby Kai, whom she affectionally refers to as her niece, in a photo on Twitter over the holiday.
At UNICEF's Snowflake Ball shortly after, Perry explained to Vanity Fair, "It's all about children, and you know what? I'm also excited I have a new niece in our family. And she's brand new, like a week old, and she needs a lot of attention. So I can imagine what's going on in other countries that don't have the facilities or the education or all those things -— I'm seeing it kind of firsthand, 'cause it's the first time in 24 years in my family, so this is making some personal sense to me."
Perry is recently single after she and Mayer, 35, called it quits for a second time last month. But whether or not this time is for good is unknown. "They've broken up before so it's hard to tell," a pal pointed out to Us Weekly. "She's changed a lot since she's been with him . . . [you] can't argue that she has been in love."
