Kim Kardashian was feeling the romance on the French Riviera as she attended the MailOnline's yacht party at the Cannes Lions festival on Wednesday, June 19 -- and she couldn't help gushing about her and husband Kanye West's never-ending honeymoon period.
The 33-year-old reality TV star was back in France for the first time since the Paris leg of her week-long wedding celebrations in May. And looking stunning in another white gown (this time a Balmain creation crafted from rope) Kardashian shared the secret to her newlywed happiness.
"I feel as though we’ll always be in the honeymoon period," she told party hosts MailOnline. "I try to treat him like it’s his birthday every single day. I think we’ll always be like that."
Kardashian arrived in Cannes shortly after her husband West’s departure. The rapper, 37, attended the Cannes Lions festival on Tuesday, June 17, making some typically outrageous comments at the Creativity Conference. Kardashian revealed the newlyweds keep their love strong despite such international separations, by talking constantly.
"We always try to make life as fun and enjoyable as possible," she told the outlet. "We do travel, and work really hard, when we’re together – and even when we’re apart, we’re always on the phone 24/7 – just trying to make that time as memorable as possible."
Being back in Europe, North West's mom was reminiscing about her stunning wedding at Forte di Belvedere in Florence on Sunday May 25, in particular being serenaded by Andrea Bocelli as she walked down the aisle.
"It was so Kanye to have him there," she said, of her husband's surprise. "I got up the altar and didn’t even see him standing there. And I turned around when my sisters were helping me fix my veil, and I did a double-take -- I thought it was a CD of him singing. And it was really him. I was blown away."
In fact, Kardashian thinks it's West's ability to keep her guessing that makes their relationship work. "He seems to be able to get to surprise me and that’s hard to do," she continued. "The fact that he can surprise me is really good."
