Kris Jenner just wants Bruce Jenner to be happy, regardless of who he dates or how he wants to look.
While on the "Today" show on Monday to speak about her new cookbook, the matriarch of the Kardashian clan was slightly grilled over her family, but her most telling comments may have come when asked about her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Segueing from talk of the cookbook to Bruce, host Hoda Kotb asked about the latest news that Bruce is dating one of her friends.
"I don't care who he goes out with and I don't know who he's dating. He doesn't check in with me and give me a play-by-play," she said. "But it's his life and you just want the guy to be happy. He's still the father of two of my children and so we're friends."
Oddly, the cookbook, "In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites," is dedicated to her family, but doesn't mention Bruce.
"I did it for the kids this time," she said on "Today." "Bruce and I were getting a divorce. I mean, he's a great guy, but I just did it for the kids and the grandkids."

The divorce, Kris said, is simply what's best for the family and, again, she maintained that the former couple are friends, defending him when Hoda asked about his appearance, one that involves long hair and unsubstantiated rumors that he's trying to become a woman.
"It's silly," she said. "They've been saying that since the '70s."
