Grunge nuptials! Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of alt-rock legends Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and Courtney Love of Hole, has married her longtime boyfriend, Isiah Silvas, according to multiple reports.
The Mirror is claiming that Frances wed in a small, private ceremony, but did not say where the ceremony took place.
The couple had been engaged since 2011.
Surprisingly, the report claims that Frances, who helped produce the "Montage of Heck" documentary about her father earlier this year, did not invite her mother to the ceremony. The two have clashed in the past and Courtney even lost custody of her daughter in 2009. The two, though, seemed to have patched things up a bit over the years.
They were seen together in public at times and even sent loving Twitter messages to each other. At the first screening of the documentary, Courtney hugged Frances and repeatedly told her: "I'm so sorry."
The Mirror says that Frances called her mother after the ceremony and Courtney is "sad" she wasn't there.
"Frances is totally loved up with Isaiah, but she's never been one to broadcast it to the world," a source said. "She only invited a close circle of friends to the party, and then phoned her mom afterwards to tell her the good news."
The source continued, "Courtney and Frances have had a strained relationship over the years, but after tons of fallouts they actually get on quite well now. Courtney is sad she wasn't there but she totally understands that Frances is her own person and she's happy to let her do her own thing. Plus, Isaiah is a really nice guy."
