Keep the crazy outfits for yourself! Lady Gaga has come under fire from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for dressing her pet dog Asia up in heavy, uncomfortable jewels.
It seems the Grammy winning star, who takes her prized pooch Asia everywhere with her since adopting the French Bulldog in April, still has a little to learn about doggie care.
The 28-year-old diva shared snaps of her beloved "BatPig" via Instagram on Wednesday 18th June, with some heavy duty jewelry draped over her adorable pup's head. She captioned the snap "Little McQueen" and even posted a picture of her dog with earrings clipped on her ears.
While the snaps were undeniably cute, animal welfare charity PETA have told Us Weekly the controversial singer has made an error of judgment dressing up her dog in this way.
"Lady Gaga may choose to decorate herself with elaborate and even uncomfortable outfits, but Asia doesn’t get to make that choice,” a rep told Us in a statement.
“Although it seems pretty clear that Lady Gaga loves Asia, we think Asia -- and all dogs -- are adorable without all the added flair. The best accessory for any dog is a comfortable, secure, well-fitting harness, which is perfect for long walks together," the statement continued.
This isn't the first time Gaga's been in trouble with PETA. In 2010 they criticized the singer for wearing a dress made of "decomposing flesh" while in 2012 they accused her of having "no heart" when she wore a fox head scarf.
