The singer, however, admits that she's been highly disappointed by her boyfriends' reaction to the fact that she's sexually attracted to women.
"The fact that I'm into women, they're all intimidated by it," she says in the current issue of the magazine, on newsstands now. "It makes them uncomfortable. They're like, 'I don't need to have a threesome. I'm happy with just you.'"
Gaga (her real name is Stefani Joanne Germanotta) says she has never been in love with a woman and that the interest is purely physical in nature. In fact, the love of her life was someone she met four years ago.
"I was his Sandy, and he was my Danny, and I just broke," the 23-year-old says of her breakup with the heavy-metal drummer named Luke, who inspired nearly all of the songs on her debut album, The Fame.
Although she has a new boyfriend, she reserves her rawest emotions for her music.
"My music's not going to wake up tomorrow morning and tell me it doesn't love me anymore," she says. "So I'm content with my solitude. I'm okay with being alone. I choose to have someone in my life when I can."
Whether it's her sexuality or her futuristic out-there style -- she told Usmagazine.com that she is "inspired by skyscrapers, architecture" -- that keep fans interested, Gaga is confident that she is offering them something different.
"I don't feel like I look like the other perfect little pop singers," she says. "I think I'm changing what people think is sexy."
She adds: "I feel like I have so much to do... My true legacy will be the test of time, and whether I can sustain a space in pop culture and really make stuff that will have a genuine impact."
