The music video for Lady Gaga's new single "Born This Way" premiered Monday, and the multi-platinum pop diva didn't let us down in creating a visual masterpiece to go along with her scorching pop anthem.
The avant-garde clip begins with a monologue from the singer: "This is the manifesto of Mother Monster ... on GOAT, a government-owned alien territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place. But the birth was not finite. It was infinite."
In what's sure to be a water cooler topic, there's also another sequence in which we see a simulated childbirth, when a slimy Gaga, in embryonic form, is retrieved from a kaleidoscopic womb.
The song kicks off, and we see the Poker Face singer, as usual, in a variety of outrageous get-ups -- including a barely-there bikini. With lots of skin shown from Gaga and her white-hot dancers, Born This Way is perhaps the sexiest video we've seen from the New Yorker.
Renown British fashion photographer Nick Knight directed the video, and Laurieann Gibson choreographed it.
Her upcoming album, also titled "Born This Way," hits stores May 23.
