We previously reported that Lauren Conrad's book L.A. Candy, in spite of all logic, topped a New York Times Best-Seller list, but now things are getting even more difficult to understand: She's planning to adapt it into a movie.

Okay, let's rewind for a second.

Lauren Conrad starred in a reality show. She then adapted the reality show into a book. She is now turning the reality-show-based book into a movie. Now all we need is the movie to turn into a video game and the cycle of unoriginal Hollywood garbage that makes stupid amounts of money will be complete.

A source told People magazine, "Lauren's goal is to get into producing -- it always was. It was always to make 'L.A. Candy' into a film or TV show. She's been in talks about it."

While no deal is in place just yet, the source says "That's her ultimate goal."

Conrad confirmed this crazy talk to the New York Daily News, saying, "We're hoping for a movie deal ... I'm working on [adapting the book for film] right now, but I don't want to commit to anything until I see all my options. We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though."

But don't worry, this isn't just a regurgitation of "The Hills." The movie will explore a fictional tale of the trials and tribulations of a young, privileged, beautiful girl living in L.A. who is being filmed for a reality show. But you know, for two hours instead of 30 minutes.

I think Hollywood may have misinterpreted the motto, "Recycle, reduce, reuse."
